According to different hopeful rumors I've read/heard the last few weeks, Kristen Bell's name kept popping up as a casting possibility for a recurring role on the upcoming season of Lost.  Of course I was interested, and while I wished something like that could be true, skepticism is the watchword on this one.

Now, TV Guide's spoiler-guru Michael Ausiello has posted some more news on this possible development.  The mention leads off his weekly Ausiello Report. Nothing is confirmed by any means, but even the remote impossible possibility is enough to make me tingly.  In the discussion thread, even fellow TV Guide editor/columnist Matt Webb Mitovich is ecstatic:

Kristen Bell? On Lost?? That'd be like someone handing you a Godiva ice cream bar just as an orgasm subsides.* Please let it be!

Beware, the above links may be spoiler-filled for many shows as you scroll.  I'll go ahead and c/p the pertinent info from the report, under a cut of course:

As I read it, the role seems to perfectly fit with who Kristen is, and seems to be something she could easily and effectively portray. Should this casting actually miraculously come to fruition, it would be the first absolutley exciting piece of new TV-related development - for me - since Veronica's shameful abandonment. And honestly, anything that enables Kristen to snag higher-profile mainstream exposure (like the upcoming Forgetting Sarah Marshall, produced by the currently red-hot Judd Apatow) is fan-frakking-tastic.  If anyone in tinseltown is worthy of superstardom, it is the immensely talented Ms. Bell.  And I'm not just saying that because I'm in love with her. I'm not... I swear...

*thinks positive thoughts*

Kristen Bell is awesome.
