Another mention-worthy heads-up, courtesy of  Whedonesque, that I felt compelled to post.

This is an essay from the collection of such found in Jane Espenson's book, Serenity Found: More Unauthorized Essays on Joss Whedon's Firefly Universe - which is actually a second volume of essay collections, following the first Finding Serenity release of essay collections.

This excerpt is the one written by Nathan Fillion, linked from an article in USA Today.  If you ever saw yourself as even a mild Firefly fan - and especially if you consider yourself a true Browncoat - then you'll be hard-pressed to not get at least a little misty-eyed with this piece.  For a non-screenwriting actor, Nathan has a real way with words, and his passion for the show and the entire 'verse is awe-inspiring.  And even his mom is funny. Click the USA Today link above, or look under the cut for a c/p of the text:

I know when I first read this last night, I found myself welling-up just a bit.  Reading his experience makes me proud to have been there as a fan from the very beginning.

Kristen Bell is awesome.
