*** As you can see from my lack of updates for a couple of years, my free time for online goofing and LJ updating is pretty much nil for the time being. I will always keep this account, but not sure when I'll get around to posting again.
That said, I am on Twitter. You can follow me @clarkkent179 if you so choose. Be back later (eventually).***
I'm a 31-yr-old fanboy living in west Orlando (Ocoee, actually, but no one knows where that is). I graduated from Florida State University in 2001, and think Tallahassee at night in the fall is one of the best places on the planet.
I'm a self-admitted television addict, who manages to pick up more new shows to watch every season than is considered healthy, and I own dozens and dozens of seasons' worth of my favorite shows on DVD. Along with a few hundred films, as well. Oh yeah, I'm a movie geek, too. I also could be considered a comic collector, but only for anything and everything Superman-related. I think the character of Clark Kent is the greatest pop-culture icon ever, and find myself a slave to pretty much anything related to the Man of Steel, fandom-wise.
Also a big fan of the Whedon-verse - the shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly - and anything related to those fandoms. Serenity (the feature continuation of the tragically prematurely-canceled Firefly) is one of the best films of all time. Period.
The above banners, courtesy of dorkfish04 and kbell_still, respectively, give you more than a clue to my celebrity obsession. I absolutely adore her, and think she's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
And to provide a heads-up as to where my loyalties lie (and where common interests may be found), I'll also drop in my listing of favorite television shows (dramas only), grouped by those currently still in production, and all-time favorites no longer airing new broadcast episodes ***note*** list last updated early 2008 - have yet to re-categorize 'still around':
Still around: 1. Lost 2. Battlestar Galactica 3. The Shield 4. Friday Night Lights 5. Bones 6. Supernatural 7. Pushing Daisies 8. 24 9. Damages 10. Dexter
On permanent hiatus: 1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer 2. Veronica Mars 3. Firefly 4. Farscape 5. Angel 6. Everwood 7. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman 8. ALIAS 9. The Sopranos 10. Deadwood
Some of the "rankings" are debatable - even to myself. And I could go on and on, with another subsection for comedies and non-dramas, but that's enough to bore you with for now. Oh - and if you wanna friend me, feel free. I'll probably friend you back, and require absolutely no comment commitment for flist-maintenance. Easy, right? Although, I will admit to sometimes slacking in the daily flist-reading myself, so if regular commenting is something you require for friending, keep that in mind. Peace out.
***Note about Userpics: Just an FYI for all who visit or on whose LJs I may comment. I do my best to comment on my userpics as to where I got them, but there are several icons that I've loaded that I cannot recall from where I snagged them. I've labeled those with "by ?" in the comments section. If you see an icon that I'm using that you've created, and I've yet to credit you in my comments, please shoot me a message and I'll do so ASAP. I'm honestly just ignorant, not trying to pass anything off, since I take no credit for anything that isn't mine, and most of my favorites are made by others anyway. Thanks.***
